Welcome to the Soundfr (“we”, “our company” or “us”) Terms of Use. These Terms of Use govern the use of our mobile application (the "Application"), which uses OpenAI Whisper technology and supports external microphones for sound recognition. By using the Application, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1.1 Purpose:
The app is designed to record speech and detect sounds using external microphones to convert audio to text.
1.2 Eligibility:
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under 18 years of age, the consent of a parent or guardian is required.
1.3 License:
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license for personal, non-commercial use of the Application.

2.1 Audio recordings:
The application records sounds, including speech, when it is active and connected to an external microphone.
2.2 Local storage:
All recorded audio files and processed text are stored locally on your device. OpenAI Whisper processes the audio for transcription, but does not store the information locally or on its servers.
2.3 User responsibility:
You are solely responsible for the management and security of your locally stored recordings. We recommend using device security features (e.g. passcodes, encryption) to protect your data.
3.1 Processing:
The app uses OpenAI Whisper technology to convert speech to text. Whisper temporarily processes audio during transcription, but does not retain or store data.
3.2 Terms of third parties:
By using the app, you agree to OpenAI Terms of use and privacy policy.
4.1 Compatibility:
The app supports external microphones. Users are responsible for connecting the device and external microphone.
4.2 Sound recognition:
The app detects sounds from connected microphones when active. Make sure external microphones are properly connected for optimal functionality.

We may update the Application or these Terms of Use at any time. Your continued use of the App after updates means you agree to the revised terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Application if you violate these Terms of Use.

The Consumer Disputes Committee is competent to resolve disputes arising from the contract concluded between the buyer and the seller, which the parties have not been able to resolve by agreement.
