This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our app, which records speech to provide speech-to-text functionality using OpenAI Whisper technology. a. Audio recordings 

• We collect and process audio recordings you create using the app to convert speech to text using OpenAI Whisper. 
• Audio recordings may be processed locally on your device or sent to OpenAI servers for transcription, depending on the functionality of the application. 

b. Device information 

• We may collect device-specific information, such as operating system, device type, and app version, to improve app performance and troubleshoot issues. 

c. Usage data 

• We collect anonymous usage statistics, such as frequency of application use and features accessed, to improve our services.

• To convert speech to text using OpenAI Whisper technology and provide desired functionality.

• with OpenAI: Audio recordings may be sent to OpenAI for processing via their Whisper API. OpenAI's privacy policy governs how they handle your data. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with their privacy policy. 
• With service providers: To process or improve the Services. 
• For legal purposes: When required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others. 
• With your consent: If you have expressly consented to the sharing of your information. 

4. Data retention and storage 

• Audio recordings: Locally processed audio recordings are not stored by us. When sent to OpenAI Whisper for processing, they are processed temporarily and not stored unless you explicitly choose to save them. 
• Text files: Text generated from speech can be saved locally or to the cloud, depending on your preferences. 
• Retention period: We retain data only as long as it is necessary to provide the service or to fulfill legal obligations. 

5. Your Rights 

You are entitled to: 

• To access, update or delete your data, contact us at info@soundfr.ee. 
• Withdrawal of consent to data processing at any time, although this may limit the functionality of the application. 

6. Security measures 

We use industry standard encryption and security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure or loss. However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

7. Third Party Services 

The app uses OpenAI Whisper for speech-to-text processing. Audio recordings sent to OpenAI are subject to their privacy policy, which you can review here. We ensure that our integration meets OpenAI's security and privacy requirements. 

8. Children's privacy 

Our application is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately. 

9. Changes to the privacy policy 

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" of this policy. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
